(Vera's proposal for the tag page)
Line 1: Line 1:
__FORCETOC__A '''tag''' is used to describe a ''major element'' of a game from its gameplay type (strategy, action, arcade) to any specific subset of that gameplay type (scrolling shooter, lane-based strategy). You can have more than one tag per game, in fact, that's kind of the point. If there is a tag that you would like to have on this page, let someone with a color name know on Discord. We don't want tags that will only apply to one or two games; it should be a relatively well-used tag, to prevent the list from getting too long.
Tags are used to classify and organize games in Flashpoint for easier searching.  Here, they have been organised into categories. You may use multiple tags per game, as well, you can use the category headers as tags. If there is a tag that you feel would be useful, please ask a Staff Member on the Discord server, and we'll see if it's something that should be added. We don't want tags to be too specific, to the point where a tag exists solely for one game.
