Downloading Curations

From Flashpoint Datahub

This page describes how to find and download a curation that was previously submitted to Flashpoint. When searching for curations, be sure to search partial names before full names, just as you would when Searching the Collection.

Note new games are distributed in Flashpoint as ZIP files, and Legacy games are being gradually converted into them.

Searching FPFSS

If the curation you're looking for was submitted after July 2021 or so, it was probably submitted via FPFSS. Sign into your Discord account there and click Submissions -> Browse in the top menu. Then type the game's title into the "Title (partial)" field and click the Search button. Click "View" to view a submission and click "Get" to download it.

Searching the Discord submission channels

Before the advent of FPFSS, curations were submitted through Discord. To find the original curation, open the Flashpoint Discord server and type the game's name into the Discord search bar. Then filter your search based on the type of curation you're looking for:

  • To find Flash games, type in: flash-game-curations
  • To find non-Flash games, type in: other-game-curations
  • To find animations, type in: animation-curations

If you see a file attached to the Discord message, click the down arrow to download it. Or if you see a link, click the link to download the curation.

If the Discord message contains only the title of the game/animation without any attached file, that means that the file was uploaded to our old curation upload service. These curations can now be found in the staff Google Drive, which is also known as Nextcloud. If you are not a staff member, you'll need to ask a staff member to search for you.

Searching Nextcloud

If you are a staff member, you can find the link to the Nextcloud in the useful-links channel. Visit the link and login with Discord, access is given based on your roles. You'll be able to use the search bar in the Curations and Fixes folder to search for curations by filename, usually being the title of the game/animation without spaces, capitalization or special characters. For example, to find Ben 10 Ultimate Crisis, search for ben10ultimatecrisis. If the curation you're looking for doesn't come up, search for just part of the title - it might take a few tries. Once you've found the file, click on it and download.
